LTK has released its 2023 LTK Back-to-School Shopper Study and reveals optimistic shopper spending trends despite economic concerns.
Did you know shoppers are kicking off their back-to-school shopping earlier this year? As of early July, 35% of shoppers will have begun their back-to-school shopping, up from 31% in 2022. Plus 62% of shoppers said they will have started shopping before the end of July, according to LTK’s Back-to-School Shopper Study.

As Gen Z heads back to school this fall, more than half will start their shopping in late July through early August. And when it comes to shopping preferences, 76% will shop online.
