    Make your content discoverable by optimizing with hashtags and keywords

     

    LTK’s Creator Success team is often asked for the best combination and number of hashtags to use within LTK post captions for maximum exposure and commission in the LTK shopping app. 

    Read on for LTK post caption best practices, and the optimal combination of LTK-branded hashtags and organic hashtags to get your content discovered by high-intent Shoppers.

    Include up to 8 hashtags maximum in your LTK post captions

     

    Use 3 LTK pre-formatted hashtags like #LTKunder50 when they're relevant to your post. Posts with the maximum of 3 LTK-branded hashtags have 46% higher earnings than posts with less than 3 LTK-branded hashtags.
      • Posts featuring content from the LTKHome, LTKStyleTip, LTKSeasonal, LTKSaleAlert, and LTKunder50 hashtags tend to perform the best
      • LTKBaby and LTKkids have the highest click-through-rates

    Include 5 additional descriptive hashtags like #datenightoutfit or #beachvacation. Posts with organic hashtags describing the featured products or outfit convert 18% higher than posts without these additional descriptive hashtags.

    • Include up to five organic, descriptive hashtags in addition to your 3 LTK-branded hashtags
    • Use hashtags for any searchable outfit category that wouldn't be included in a product name for the items tagged to your post
    • After 8 hashtags total, post earnings tend to drop!

     

    Use descriptive storytelling language in your captions, and add Product Reviews

     

    You must sell your content and products in your post caption if you want to grow your earnings. LTK posts with a caption perform 15x better than posts without captions! Take the time to craft authentic, storytelling captions that convey your unique brand voice. Captions are a great place to describe:

    • Ways to style your look
    • Why you love the products
    • On sale items
    • Promo codes

    Add Creator Product Reviews to the products featured in your LTKs to share your personal review of how the item fits, the size and color you ordered, material, and how to apply the product. Posts with Product Reviews convert 20-30% higher in the week after they’re published!
